To be fair, it must be noted that [University of Missouri professor Melissa] Click is only the latest of many examples that could be cited. However, some critics see her as the poster-child for what has been labeled “the pathology of ideological scholarship.” For these critics, her strong-arm tactics against a student journalist lend weight to their contention that the inevitable result of teaching intolerance in the classroom is practicing oppression outside it.
